CONNECT WITH WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS FALL!
We are excited to launch a brand new vision for OKC Community in the 2019-2020 year. We are re-imagining ways to experience community together and grow and mature as disciples. Starting in the fall of 2019 we are having our first equipping purposed group experience that will take place over the course of 7 group sessions and will have 3 different times options you can choose from.
WHAT IS THE “TO THE CITY” GROUP/ COURSE?
This particular course will focus on the subject matter of “Navigating Our Faith in Today’s Culture.” As people who live in cities we are experiencing significant culture shifts that are impacting our faith in so many ways. Our subjects include:
1. How do we thrive in a Post-Christian Culture?
2. Technology and Our Faith.
3. Community in a Culture of Individuals.
4. Margin in a Culture of Hurry.
5. Cultural Challenges to Our Disciplines.
6. Mission Part 1 - Love Your Neighbor.
7. Mission Part 2 - Love Our City.
This experience will be a combination of a small group experience and training course. We believe you’ll grow in connection and community with several people as well as better equipped to navigate your faith in today’s culture!
WHEN & WHERE IS IT HAPPENING?
The “To The City” course will have three different time options. Each group will be mixed aged and will likely be anywhere from 20-40ish people. They will all cover the same content and will have a similar type of experience, but offering it three times will help make the groups smaller an give you options that hopefully work for your schedule.
Sunday night group for anyone that meets at the church from 6-730pm (starts Sept 29)
Wednesday Night group for anyone that meets at the church from 7-830pm and will begin October 2.

SNEAK PEAK 2020
Looking ahead, we are developing a core course called EQUIP that will dig deeper into our desire to grow in unity and faith and mature as disciples (Ephesians 4). We will also be starting several other short-term group experiences (6-12 weeks) over the next year focused around topics such as prayer, spiritual disciplines, family-life, finances, and the Holy Spirit.
